On June 5th, people around the world celebrate World Environment Day with a shared goal of raising awareness about environmental issues and taking action to protect our planet. This year's theme was focused on solutions to the plastic problem, recognizing the global issue of plastic pollution in our oceans and waterways.

In addition to the overarching environmental goals, this day also commemorated the birth anniversary of Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, making the celebration even more special.

To celebrate the day, the Trongsa Dzongkhag Administration teamed up with regional offices to clean up the Thruepangchu stream, putting action behind their words. This kind of tangible effort is what truly makes a difference in preserving our planet for generations to come
